Our Challenge
Add a second storey and renovate the ground floor of an existing federation-style home in Cronulla.
Our Solution
With a growing family, the owners of this beautiful home in Cronulla were in need of more space.
We worked with them to install a second storey, and renovate the rear of their ground floor. This involved creating a sensational new entertaining area, a new master bedroom with magnificent ocean views, two new bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet.
Downstairs, we constructed and installed a new, open- plan kitchen, dining and living area. The space boasts a feature fireplace, and even includes a study nook, cleverly hidden under the stairs.
The overall renovation was completed in a Hamptons/ French Provincial style - giving the home a refined and authentic character, and a beachy, breezy feel.
Build by Design were a fabulous company to work with and our renovation meets all our expectations. Build By Design were able to help us achieve our dream of enlarging and enhancing our much loved, older style home, whilst maintaining its character and street appeal.
The team, in particular Jarrod and David, were friendly, helpful and approachable throughout the entire process. They dealt with our tight schedule and the associated stress in a highly professional manner. They managed to finish the job within our timeframe and budget despite poor weather and several unforeseen complications. We get many people knocking on our door to congratulate us on the beautiful job and enquire as to who did the work.
